Relix GmbH

"relix" is an old project: founded as a Linux consulting firm in 1997/98 it served as a network of IT professionals and as a business platform for a wide variety of projects and GbR type corporations (Personengesellschaft). In 2009 there was an occasion that provided the trigger to convert it into a limited liability corporation. We are also the proprietor of the trademark "relix" for computer oriented technologies.

Founded in the Open Source world, we are still very Linux oriented, although our search technology of choice, FAST, has been acquired by Microsoft. Since we are pragmatic and since in most cases it is not up to us to decide about operating systems, we can live with that very well. It's the customer who decides.

relix GmbH is open to research: We strive to support research by closely co-operating with Munich University, the department of Computational Linguistics. In order to keep up with the latest developments, our staff is motivated to take one day per week off and spend it on research.
